Earvin Johnson, Jr. born on August 14, 1959, in Lansing, Michigan. He lived with his father, who worked for the General Motors plant and his mother, who worked as a school custodian. He had nine brothers and sisters. Earvin Johnson, also known as Magic, not only became a world famous athlete, he also brought the HIV virus to the forefront of America despite all the heat he would take from the media and his peer. As a result brought millions of dollars to the medical research of HIV.
